Koffie Fugah is an incredible African drumming and dance teacher and a performer from Ghana, West Africa. He invites you on a journey to Africa where you will be inspired & rejuvenated, you will have a new song in your heart & a stronger connection to your community as you discover the rhythms and dances of Africa together. Music is part of who he is and his passion is to share the joy that this music brings to those who want to learn more.
In 2013 Koffie migrated to New Zealand and founded the Kadodo West African Drum and Dance School.
For the past 5 years Koffie has been facilitating drum and dance workshops all over New Zealand and performing at events such as Luminate, Prana, Cuba Dupa, Festival of Lights, Festival of Cultures and many others

This wonderful opportunity awaits all participants regardless of experience to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of how African rhythm is more than just drum patterns but more around the history behind the rhythms and the essential songs and dances that accompany them.
Participants will learn new techniques to improve their playing, traditional songs, rhythms and dances in warm and friendly environment led by Koffie. All experiences welcome, each participant will be challenged at their own level. The aim of this workshop is to bring music, dance and yoga community together. Participants will leave feeling connected, with a new appreciation for West African Culture, and a smile on their faces and joy in their hearts.
