Swami Karma Karuna Saraswati is an engaging, intuitive yoga and meditation teacher, inspirational speaker, writer and IAYT certified Yoga Therapst with almost 30 years of experience. She has been trained in the Bihar Yoga traditional system and visits India to spend time with her spiritual guides yearly, furthering her yogic learning and dedicating herself to selfless service.
Swami Karma Karuna is a co-founder and director of Anahata Yoga Retreat, New Zealand, a residential yoga retreat offering an integral yogic lifestyle. She also travels throughout the world, leading workshops, training yoga teachers, presenting at international events, guiding spiritual sadhana retreats and offering therapeutic one to one yoga and lifestyle sessions.
The long held dream of developing and leading Yoga Nidra and Restorative Yoga Instructors Professional Development Trainings has also now been manifested and is part of Swami Karma Karuna’s focus in continuing education for yoga teachers and health professionals.
She is passionate about sharing an authentic and down to earth approach, weaving together the ancient practices with a touch of psychology and brain science aimed at motivating people to live their yoga here and now. Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Meditation, Chakras, Prana Vidya and Women's Health are amoung her specialities.

Session 1: Flow through Yoga Nidra

Session 2: Yoga, body language and your health
Explore body language through yoga postures to directly influence the mental and emotional states of being as well as awaken, balance and redirect prana or vital force to influence the body and mind. Play with different asana groups: forward, backward, twisting, inversions and balancing, all of which have a particular influence and are a link between the body and mind. Touch in on yoga postures as preventative and curative tools of health management with simple applications for common imbalances.
Session 3: The power of the breath
The “quality of your breath reflects the quality of your life”. A fast breath equals stress and imbalance and a slow, deep breath equals a calm mind, health and well-being. Explore the power of the breath, the science behind it and attain practical tools for a more conscious breath, thus a more conscious life.
